That Crazy Thing Called Sleep And Why We Need It

Sponsored post: I am an ORB Wellness  Brand Ambassador.  I have received both products and compensation as part of this program. All opinions are my own.

Why we need want sleep so bad!

I have never been that great of a sleeper. My husband complains that I sleep too light and should be able to sleep through anything like him. It drives me crazy that he never heard the kids cry in the middle of the night when they were babies. Oh, this man also can fall asleep in a matter of minutes. Something I have never been able to do. On my good days, it usually takes 30 minutes for me to fall asleep and that is with my relaxation techniques like stretching, sleep supplements, and deep breathing. Most people, like my husband, like to blame my computer use for my sleep problems but I have been in a battle with sleep for as long as I can remember- way before the internet. Most nights, I struggle with falling asleep or waking up way too many times so I tend to stay up late avoiding sleep altogether. When I finally get tired enough for sleep, I force myself to bed and play those mind games to fall asleep. I am glad I do not have to be up early for a job in the morning as I think I get my best sleep from 6-8 AM. All these sleep problems amount to me struggling most days to get motivated to work. On the rare days, I get plenty of sleep, those are the days that I get most of my writing done.

Fall Asleep. Stay Asleep. Wake Up Refreshed.

So as a sleep-deprived person, I am always trying supplements/ways to fall asleep. I refuse to take prescribed sleep medicines that are habit forming and I reach for ones with natural ingredients that will not harm my body. I tend to rotate my supplements as I have found that supplements that once worked for me no longer work or do the opposite and keep me awake. So when I discover a new sleep supplement that is unique and works in a different way, I am always willing to give it a try. When I discovered ORB Sleep Complex, the purple container, my favorite color, got my attention. The 2-1 dual delivery system and 8-hour time release technology got my attention as I read the package.  I also liked the safe ingredients in this sleep supplement. The price at Costco was pretty good too for 60 servings. If you don't have a Costco membership, you can purchase ORB Sleep Complex at their website https://orbwellness.com/

The ORB Sleep Complex had some unique ingredients in it like B-12 and lavender along with Melatonin and Valerian Root. I knew the Melatonin is used for sleep and I already use lavender in my diffuser to help me sleep but I was curious at how lavender would work in a supplement. I also wanted to see how the delayed release B-12 could get me the energy to help me wake up in the morning. On nights that I have trouble sleeping, I always struggle to get out of bed so energy in the morning is a good thing. I know I had a good night of sleep when I feel like getting out of bed when the birds start singing. I decided to give the ORB Sleep Complex a try as I struggle with sleep a couple times a week. When I don't get enough sleep, I can't think straight and my motivation to do things is just not there. Go HERE to see all the ingredients that are in the ORB Sleep Complex.

Love the shape of the container!

I really like the sound of falling asleep, staying asleep, and waking up refreshed in the morning. So I took one ORBcapsule an hour before bed, I know the serving size is two capsules but I tend to be sensitive to medicines so I want to see how one performed before I took two. The capsules had tiny purple beadlets suspended in a liquid and were easy to swallow. Since it could take up to an hour for the supplement to work, I then took my shower and had a bedtime snack. My husband says that I should not eat before bed but I am always hungry then and I can not sleep on an empty stomach.

                                 So how did I sleep?

I went to bed at about 11:59 PM, I am a night owl. I must have dozed off pretty fast as I woke up from a deep about an hour later and I needed to turn from my back to sleep on my side as I was coughing from allergy nasal drip. I must remember to start off on my side when I go to bed as allergies prevent me from sleeping on my back. Once I turned to my side, I fell right back to sleep. I don't remember waking up again in the middle of the night. At about 7 AM in the morning the neighbor's dog started barking so I woke up. The sun was shining and I was ready to get out of bed but I stayed in bed until 8 AM as it was Saturday and I wanted some quiet time with the Lord. When I did get out of bed I did not feel tired and I wanted to get out of bed. The rest of my day went well and I did not feel tired.

I feel comfortable with taking the ORB Sleep Complex on nights that I am having trouble falling asleep. For now, I will just take one capsule as it worked to help me fall asleep. It is good to know that I can safely take two capsules, if needed, for my sleep problems. I will keep the Sleep Complex by the side of my bed so it is there for the nights when I am having sleep problems. I don't feel like I need the ORB every night but if I do, I love that I can use it safely every night. Now that I have help with my sleep problems with this pretty purple product, my days are going to be a whole lot more productive. Just today, I got more work done than I have in a long time!

  20. I have been a good sleeper since my kids have grown up to 3yo. They rarely get up in the middle of the night and beg me to stay awake for them. But there are times, when my body clock just won't work fine and lets me up almost the whole night. Maybe this won't hurt if I try this.

  21. I've not had a good nights sleep since my failed back surgery over 10 years ago. I wake up all night long trying to get comfortable. I might try this to see if it would help me sleep through some of the pain. A few straight hours of sleep would be heavenly.

  22. Lavender really helps soothe and calm me down. Although, I don't typically struggle to fall asleep. I am much like you, getting my best sleep closer to the time I am about to wake up.
