Your mistakes don't define you. How you heal does.

The Unbreakable Boy movie is more than just a movie about a boy who has autism. It is a movie about a boy with an incredible who does not let the world define him. Austin has a cheerful look at everything and has learned to not let things, like kids being me to him or his parents fighting, get to him. He was a glass full type of person.

Then one day Austin broke. After years of not letting the stress of the world, including his parents fighting. bother him, Austin had an episode of violence. He let out years of suppressing his feelings, Austin had a dangerous meltdown and had to be hospitalized.

Austin's episode helped his parents realize that they were broken and they needed help.

Autism affects the whole family

I was excited to watch the movie The Unbreakable Boy as it reminded me of a family that I know. They have a child who has Autism and also brittle bones. Their son even sounds like Austin. My friend's family has so many other similarities to the family in the movie. This movie could be their story.

My friends recently split up and this movie had me wondering if dealing with a special needs child caused them to be broken.

When the odds are unbelievable, show the world you're unbreakable. #UnbreakableBoy is in theaters on February 21. 💙

This is a must-see movie for anyone who knows someone who is on the spectrum. It will change you.
