Tired of drinking protein shakes for breakfast? I have a recipe that you are going to love. These gluten-free protein pancakes contain 24 grams of protein per serving, making them a perfect swap for your protein shake. The pancakes are also dairy-free.

For busy mornings, I make the pancakes the night before and heat them in the microwave. For additional flavor, top them with fruit and spread nut butter on them. The pancakes can also be enjoyed cold, or use them to make a delicious peanut butter sandwich.

Huel Protein Pancakes are made without flour

Did you know you can use Huel Powder or Complete Protein as a flour substitute in your pancake recipe? You do now!

This protein pancake recipe uses my favorite complete meal powder. Since Huel comes in so many delicious flavors, these pancakes can be made into yummy flavors like chocolate, strawberry, peanut butter, and more. This recipe is heaven-sent. I actually have gluten intolerance, so I don’t get to enjoy pancakes as often as I’d like. I’m so happy to discover an easy recipe that only needs three simple ingredients. I also had no idea that Huel powder could be used this way. Thank you so much for sharing this.

24g of protein and only three ingredients? That's my kind of recipe. I love that you can make them sweet or savory depending on the Huel flavor you choose. The peanut butter sandwich idea with cold pancakes is brilliant for packed lunches. Thank you for this!

This recipe is like a tiny kitchen miracle—three simple ingredients quietly teaming up to create something both nourishing and indulgent. I love how it strips everything back to the essentials—using applesauce, cocoa powder, and a plant-based protein flour—yet still delivers a rich, fudgy texture that feels more like a treat than a “healthy snack”.
What really stands out is how thoughtfully inclusive it is—gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, and even vegan, making it accessible for so many dietary needs without sacrificing taste or simplicity. It’s the kind of recipe that proves healthy eating doesn’t need to be complicated—sometimes, the magic lives in doing less, but doing it well.

YUM! These sound so good and I love how simple this recipe is! Three ingredients and still packed with protein is such a win, especially for busy mornings. I also like that you can switch up the flavors depending on what you’re craving, that makes it feel like a whole new breakfast each time. Making them ahead and reheating is such a smart idea too. Definitely trying these with some fruit and nut butter on top

I bet the mint chocolate chip pancakes would taste amazing. When you said you didn’t use flour, I was a bit skeptical. I wasn’t sure what would hold them together. But I was pleasantly surprised how they look like unhealthily flour based pancakes that would leave your blood sugar dropping hours later.
