Roma Downey's Little Angels Prayers For Every Day Giveaway

I am always looking for books that teach my two younger boys about Jesus. I was very excited to receive this book in the mail yesterday. My boys could not wait for bedtime to read our new book Little Angels Prayers For Every Day by Roma Downey. Roma Downey was on the show Touched by an Angel. They started to look at the pictures of the book and Kodi, who is starting to read, tried to sound out some words in the book. Kodi commented "this book has a lot of dear Lord in it." Jesse just enjoyed looking at the pictures. Even big brother Tyler was impressed with the pictures  of the book. Tyler told me that one of the angels in the book had a cell phone.
The book features more than 50 simple rhyming prayers that cover a typical day and the worries of a young child. There is prayers for day, night, meal times, and for comfort. I liked that there was bible verses scattered throughout the book also. This book is also approved by MOPS(mothers of preschoolers.)   Your children  learn practical lessons, values, and Biblical truths in an engaging and appealing manner. This book will help children to learn that any moment is a good time to talk to God.

At bed time I read the book with my boys and as we were reading it,the boys asked questions about God. The book helped Kodi to bring up that he was scared of the dark and I was able to tell him to call out to God when he is. I love that this book is great for babies also as the pages are durable and colorful. I will be using this book a lot to help teach my boys about the love of Christ.

My husband has story time with our son each night - it's kind of their way to spend time together, since work and school take up so much. That's when they do their bible reading and have their "man talk" about water balloons, etc. ha/ha

My kids read on their own 20 minutes right after dinner---sometimes we read right before bed, but they've sort of grown out of that---7/10

After dinner! Although my girls are now teens and tweens, I still read to them after dinner each night :)
