How A Simple Bag Make My Trip To California So Stress Free

My family and I just returned from California last week. I attended the Moms Meet Wow Summit 2015 blogging conference. This conference was all about raising healthy families. I learned about some awesome natural products. It was a family friendly conference so we decided to make it a family vacation. We were there for the weekend and we decided to rent a car so we could go to the beach. This was the first time for my boys to visit a beach. Since we rented a car, I wanted my boys to be safe and that meant riding in a car seat. I thought of renting the car seat through the car rental place but they wanted $30.00 per car seat, that would have been $60.00-yikes! Then I also realized the rental car seats might be dirty and filled with germs ( I have seen how my boys can mess up a car seat) or uncomfortable for my boys. So I quickly realized taking their car seats with was the best idea. The next problem I thought of was having to check the car seats and how they might get dirty. I also though about how hard it is to carry a car seat from the car to the baggage check counter.

Thankfully I discovered Angel Baby Car Seat Travel Bag and this solved all my problems. This car seat bag was the solution that I needed to keep my boys car seat clean and easy to carry. The price was cheaper than renting a car seat and I knew I would get more than one use out of this bag, hubby likes the idea of traveling for blog conferences. I already am thinking of the next blog conference that I will be attending. This durable bag even has a shoulder strap on it which made it easy to carry in the airport.

When we arrived at the airport parking lot, way to early in the morning, my husband and I unbuckled the car seats and placed them in the huge red bag.The car seat bag is meant to hold one car seat, but I was able to fit 2 car seats in as it was that big. The bag had a draw string with an adjustable lock which made them easy to close. My husband then used the strap to carry the car seats over his shoulder. That was good as we had a lot of suitcases to roll into the airport. The only thing that would have made the car seat easier to carry would be another strap on the red bag so it could be carried like a backpack.

We arrived to the baggage check in counter and place the red bag on the scale. Did you know that car seats can be checked for free and do not count as luggage?  The counter check in person was impressed that I had already filled out the ID tag in the enclosed see through pocket with names and phone numbers. She also wanted to know where I had purchased the bag as she needed one for her grandchild. The car seats went onto the baggage area along with our suitcases. My youngest son was worried that his seat might get wet if it rained, I reassured him that the bag was waterproof and he would have a dry car seat when we arrived in California. My boys had fun watching the suitcases get loaded onto the plane. They were even able to spot their car seats as the bag was a nice bright red.

After 2 hours on the plane, we were relived to see that our suitcases and car seats had arrived safe and dry to California. The bright red bag made the car seats easy to spot on the baggage carousel. My husband grabbed the seats and slung them over his shoulder. Then my husband and I grabbed all the suitcases and headed over to the car rental place. Once we got our car, we then took the car seats out of the bag and buckled them into the car. I then folded the car seat bag into the zippered pouch that is attached to it and put it into the front pouch of my suitcase so I would be ready for the car seats on our return flight.

I am so glad I chose to buy this car seat bag for my boys car seats as it made traveling so much easier. This bag will get a lot more use out of it and if it rips, the company will send me a new one with their lifetime guarantee. I think I will buy another car seat bag so each seat has its own. I never flew with a car seat - I held the kids on my lap until they were 2 & then they just sat in the seat.

I don't have kids so this isn't the product for me, but it definitely seems like it would make a clunky carseat easier to carry.

Very smart idea! You always see car seats getting tossed around in the luggage area which probably causes damage!

I haven't traveled with my kids yet but that looks like a great way to take a car seat and keep it safe and clean during your travels.
