Five Laundry Tips For Busy Moms With Biz

Disclaimer: This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Biz Stain Fighter. All opinions are 100% mine.

                          Do you like laundry day?

I have never really liked laundry day/days and it has always been my least favorite chore. If I had it my way, everyone in the house would just go naked so I would not have to do laundry. Thankfully this mom of five has not resorted to naked kids and has instead learned some things through the years that makes laundry day/days a bit more bearable. These tips may or may not work for work but it is how I do laundry at my house.

Never too young to help with laundry

Tip #1 Enlist help

Start the kids early with laundry chores. I have taught my kids how to help with the laundry and they have their jobs when it comes to having clean clothes in the house. The teen usually starts the wash but the younger boys gather up all the dirty clothes. I am thankful that the teen is a clean freak and usually starts a load of laundry every other day so he can have his favorite pants to wear. The younger two boys do all the folding of the clothes as part of their chores. They have been folding clothes since they were 3 and 4. My oldest daughter who now is married (lives on her own) got tired of folding so she taught the younger boys how to fold clothes. The younger boys also put the clothes away. My youngest boys also know how to start the washing machine and dryer. They just have troubles getting the clothes out of the machine as they are short. When the teen goes off to college, they will be starting the washing machine. I will have to buy smaller bottles of detergent to make it easier for them to pour it into the washer.

Tip #2 Stop Sorting Clothes
For some, this may be a hard tip to follow but for me, I just throw all the clothes in the washing machine. I probably drove my mother-in-law crazy when she watched me do laundry. My mother-in-law, not only separated her clothes by lights and darks but she also washed the white socks separate from the white underwear. I never quite understood why people take all that time to separate the clothes. I wash my clothes in cold water and add Biz Stain Fighter laundry booster along with detergent. My clothes still come out clean looking. BIZ® liquid boosts my laundry detergent and saves me time. Biz is safe to use on all colors!

  • Cleans up to 80% BETTER than detergent alone
  • MORE STAIN FIGHTERS than other brands
  • Fights tough stains BETTER THAN OXI CLEAN guaranteed!
  • Contains a UNIQUE blend of enzymes which quickly dissolves stains and odors
  • Made with BIODEGRADABLE surfactants

Tip #3 Stop Treating Every Stain
This busy mom does not have time to treat every stain on my boy's clothes, nor do I want to. I mean I am not going to touch your underwear when you put the stains on them. I have 4 messy boys and it would take all day to treat the stains on their clothes. I instead tell them if they notice a stain on their clothes, they are to pretreat the item themselves and toss it into the dirty clothes basket. Then on laundry day, I then add Biz Stain Fighter laundry booster to the washing machine. Biz is a color-safe product so I add it to all my loads! This powerful liquid does a great job of getting out those stains. If I notice a stain on my clothes, I will rub some BIZ into it and let it sit for ten minutes and I am amazed that it takes care of the stain. Biz also does a great job on that smelly boy odor as my clothes always smell nice even after I wash them with all those smelly socks!

Tip #4 Fold Once A Week
The laundry may get washed several times a week but it only gets folded and put away once a week. I have lots of laundry baskets and after the clothes get dried I stash the clean clothes behind the couch where nobody sees them. If the boys need something, they just look in the baskets. So find a hiding spot for all the clothes, maybe a closet or the laundry room if yours is bigger than mine. My laundry room is so small and connected to the garage. That means that you can't get to the garage when one is doing laundry.

Tip #5 Let Down Your Standards
With each kid, I have let down my standards with chores. My thinking is I can spend all my day cleaning or take my kids help with less than perfect results. Come on the queen is not visiting my house and if she was then she will have to put up with a little mess. My boys don't do a perfect job of folding but the clothes are put away. If they want to stuff their clothes into their dresser, I am fine with that. I will not allow them to stuff my clothes in my dresser so the boys will place my clean clothes on my bed and I put them away.

I am glad that I have the power of Biz Stain Fighter laundry booster on my side so I can spend my time on other things besides laundry. If you really want to spot treat all those clothes, go ahead, as Biz is a great spot treatment product. For me, I am glad it has lots of stain fighters to fight those tough boy stains. I am thankful for the UNIQUE blend of enzymes in Biz which quickly dissolves stains and odors. I have better things to do with my time! I am glad that I discovered BIZ liquid.

Sounds like great time saving tips. I agree that children need to learn to help with it all to be able to do it when they leave home. Do the colours not run in your mix load?

These are really fabulous tips! I love how easily the stain was removed. How cool is this? I also agree that kids should participate in doing laundry, both my kids have their tasks when it comes to laundry and they are learning.

I use cold water and my colors have never runned. When the dark clothing is new and It looks heavy dyed, I might wash it seperate the first time.

Lmao at let down your standards. That is for me because I sort the laundry a day before I do laundry and it does take time but I dont mind it plus I dont have kids yet. Hahaha

I hate doing laundry. Your tips are amazing. I love how easily the stains are removed. Do you color not bleed when you don't sort them? That is great.

Awesome. I am the opposite. I usually don't ask for help since it seems to take longer! lol However, it's important for kids to be involved with laundry duties as well!

I thought I had tried just about every laundry product available for Abby's dirty little self but I've not heard about Biz Stain Fighter laundry booster yet. I'll have to pick some up because no one gets their clothes as dirty as she does. None of the other kids were this messy when they were young, lol. Thanks for the heads up and the great tips. No one wants to spend all day doing laundry.
