Are Garden Towers Worth The Money?

Gardening season has started and I am excited to grow my seeds in the Garden Tower. This is The “World's Most Advanced Vertical Garden Planter."

I have been growing food in my backyard for several years and this will be my 4th time starting a garden. I decided to try gardening in the Southwest back in the year 2020. The covid stuck at home thing got me to join the garden craze and I am hooked on growing fresh vegetables in my yard.

Several things just lined up in the year 2020 to get me to try the impossible, never going to do the hobby of gardening. The most obvious was I had plenty of time on my hands and my youngest boys did not demand much of my time. So instead of taking care of kids, I am taking care of plants and the reward of fresh green vegetables and tomatoes is one that I like.

From a swingset garden to a Garden Tower

My first garden was a small space near my house and I grew beet greens, kale, and one tomato plant in a container. This garden gave me enough fresh produce to inspire me to expand my garden the next year. My next garden space was a converted swingset garden where I grew more veggies and fruits. I grew cucumbers, basil, chard, zucchini, and even watermelon!

I then added a greenhouse to my garden plan, last year. The greenhouse was super affordable and had many garden benefits. The best benefit of growing plants in a greenhouse is being able to keep pests, like birds, away from my plants. Save 10% on the best greenhouse With Code AFFILIATE10.

Also in the year 2022, my garden gave me a bumper crop of tomatoes along with plenty of greens and carrots. I even had tomatoes growing in my compost pile! I had tossed some rotten tomatoes in the compost bucket and they grew into a massive amount of tomato plants.

Then I discovered the Garden Tower and I have officially crossed to a plant lady! This Advanced Vertical Garden Planter is going to help me take my gardening skills to the next level. The Garden Tower is a composting vertical planter that combines the benefits of composting with growing plants.

~ Less Space Needed

The Tower Garden can grow 50 plants and requires only 4 square feet of space. So you can grow food nearly anywhere, even on an apartment patio. This unique stacking garden rotates so you can access your garden from every angle.

~ Easy to Use

Just fill it with soil and add plants. You can also start your garden with seeds. This patio garden allows you to grow nearly any vegetables, herbs, or flowers organically. The best part is it eliminates weeding, electricity, nutrient loss, and most water loss associated with conventional gardening.

~ Growth in Less Time

Did you know that >90% of available nutrition is lost below the root zone of a raised-bed or typical container?  The Garden Tower™ recovers these nutrients and optimizes delivery to the plant roots for hydroponic-like growth rates without the price tag and difficulty.

~ Made from Food-Grade Materials

The Garden Tower is HDPE (non-toxic, BPA & PVC free plastic) components, FDA-approved dye, and a UV-protection antioxidant package for health, durability, and recyclability.

Why You Should Get a Garden Tower

If you’re an avid gardener or you want to have the freshest produce in your backyard, then the Garden Tower is for you. The towering garden container lets you plant up to 50 plants of your choice in one planter, so your choice of what to grow is not limited—50 plants is a lot!

~ The design of this vegetable garden allows you to keep it on your patio, in your backyard, or even on your balcony. Another bonus is that it’s a lot easier to take care of than a large garden.

~ The benefits are many, but the biggest one is the fantastic produce you’ll be able to grow right in your own home.

Come Grow With Me

I just started my Garden Tower. It was super simple to set up. I placed the garden system on my patio and filled it up with potting soil. Then I planted my seeds. I am glad that added the caster wheels package to my Garden Tower order. These locking wheels will make moving the garden tower easy. So I can control the amount of sun that my plants will receive.

The summer temperatures can get quite high here in the desert. So the wheel system will allow me to move my garden to a better spot on my patio, so my plants can thrive. That also will help with my watering schedule.

My first review

The Garden Tower is very durable and it was super easy to add the garden seeds. Depending on the plant, I added 2-3 seeds per compartment. I loved that I did not have to worry about proper seed spacing like I have to do in my ground garden space.

I bet you are wondering how I can grow watermelons and cucumbers in this stacking garden tower. Since I planted the seeds near the bottom of the tower, I will be able to place the plant vines of the melons on the ground, so they will have plenty of space to grow.

Watering is super easy as you water the plants from the top of the planting system. The water then travels down to give all the plants water. I won't be able to overwater the plants as excess water goes into a pull-out drawer. This drawer also serves as the place where the compost tea gets made.

Love the inside composter

I am super excited about the composting part of the Garden Tower. It will make composting food scraps super easy. The tower has a chamber in which I placed live worms inside. I bought my garden worms online from Amazon. Then I will feed the worms with my kitchen scraps and other items that are compostable like cardboard.

The worms will eat the compost pile and turn it into organic fertilizer for the plants. Even the excess water will be made into compost tea that I can use to water the plants. So I love that I can grab my kitchen compost bin and pour the contents into the Garden Tower. Having a compost pile has never been this easy!

As my seeds sprout into plants and then give me food, I will update my growing experience with The Garden Tower in other garden articles. So check back!

One of my neighbors has a lighted one with artificial lighting. I might consider one just for space saving.

I have always wondered about these, and I'm not sure I have the time to keep up with taking care of it. I think it would be fun to try on the patio.

You've certainly convinced me. We have limited space and I was wondering what might work well on our balcony. I could fit one of these so the kids can grow strawberries.

I have been thinking of getting a garden tower so I can grow my own herbs and leafy greens. What is holding me back is that I don't have much success in growing vegetables. I am better with ornamental plants. I will still try to push through with a garden tower. Reading your article inspired me to go ahead and start growing my own food.

Oh wow, looks like a great product. My mom is an avid gardener and she would definitely like to have a Garden Tower in her small rooftop garden.
