Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free Pie Crust

I received this awesome pie box and two packs of Bob's Red Mill gluten-free pie crust mix. The pie crust mix is a new product from Bob's Red Mill and I could not wait to try it out. I made a pumpkin pie with the crust mix. The pie mix made making a pie crust very easy as all I had to do was add butter and water. The crust was easy to roll out and made my pie taste wonderful. The pie crust was buttery. It was hard to believe that the crust was gluten free.

I did not tell my family that the pie crust was gluten free as we have no gluten problems in our family.
My husband thinks gluten free equals taste free and I was out to prove him wrong. Bob's Red Mill knows how to make gluten free products taste great. I gave my husband a piece of the pie crust after I baked the pie and he said: "this crust is very good, gluten free buttery and flaky." I then told him it was gluten free and he wanted to know the ingredients as he did not believe me.The ingredients are simpleIngredients:
Rice Flour, Potato Starch, Tapioca Flour, Sugar, Rice Bran, Sea Salt, Xanthan Gum

This pie crust mix is great for people who need gluten-free products but tastes like a normal pie crust so no need to make two separate pies for Thanksgiving. Bob's gluten-free pie crust mix makes two pie crusts and is wonderfully priced at $4.39 a bag. For more information on this great product and to purchase go to http://www.bobsredmill.com/pie/

"These opinions are my own and I received the above mentioned products to write this post."

I recently tried their mix too and was thrilled with the results. I made an apple pie but this looks delicious!

So they couldn't tell the difference between the gluten free & regular crust? I will have to pick some mixes up for the holidays then. Btw, that pie looks so tasty!

I love Bob's products - I'm using the flax seed and adding it to soups and all other recipes for health benefits - great post!

I've switched out a few items to gluten free and most of the time the family couldn't tell.

I have never made a pie crust because they intimidate me. I may have to try this, though, because my husband loves pecan pie this time of year and he can no longer have gluten.
