I received a sample of RevAir to facilitate this post.

It does not matter what season it is, my hair is always a frizzy mess. I have a love/hate relationship with hair conditioners. If I use too little hair conditioner, my hair is dry and has frizz. If I apply too much hair conditioner, my hair looks greasy and flat. It seems that I very rarely have a good hair day, especially in the summer when its monsoon season. For the most part, the dry desert air is a benefit for my hair as the humidity then can make my hair poofy in addition to dry and frizzy. When I travel to the midwest, my hair is very poofy so I always wear it in a ponytail. When I get the moisture thing just right, my hair will have a nice curl to it. The downside of living in the dry desert is the dry air gives my hair plenty of split ends year round and worse in the summer.

RevAir to the rescue
Summer can be a serious bummer for women with curly hair. Humidity causes frustrating frizz, and super dry weather can split your ends. What's a girl to do to keep that sleek summery look? The answer is RevAir. When a company contacted me about this innovative hair dryer that uses Reverse Air Technology, I got excited as this hair dryer could be the answer to my dry, frizzy hair that has split ends. I knew I had to give this unique beauty product a try as I wanted soft smooth hair. I wanted to have a good hair day so I could wear my hair down instead of tied back.

What is RevAir?
The RevAir is a hair drying tool that harnesses the power of reverse-air (suction) to dry hair straight. Simply put it sucks the water out of your hair. This unique beauty tool came about in an unexpected way. This awesome hair dryer journey started when the creator observed a dad using vacuum suction to make ponytails for his daughters. When they tried in on their daughter's hair he observed how it made his daughter's hair feel softer. So the creator of RevAir made a hair tool that not only dries the hair but makes it softer and smoother.

How it works
The wand creates a reverse-air tunnel that surrounds your hair from root to tip with heated air to naturally dry and straightens your hair. The high heat setting is half the wattage of a standard blow dryer. There is also a low heat setting and it can be used with no heat, as a cool shot of air. Reverse-air moves heat in the natural direction of cuticles helping to smooth hair. Consistent tension effectively straightens hair replacing the need for a brush’s damaging friction. Learn more HERE.

Checking out the RevAir
When the RevAir arrived it came in a big box. My first thoughts were, this hair tool looks like a shop vacuum. I imagined that RevAir kind of works like a shop vac as it does suck out the air. I knew that I would have to read the instructions with this beauty device and watch the video as I was excited about soft smooth hair. I waited until the weekend to try out this beauty shop product as I want to make sure I had enough time to learn how to use it properly. This big hairdryer was a bit overwhelming to me but I knew once I learned how to use the reverse hair dryer it would be easy to use.

So I hopped into the shower and washed my hair. Then after I combed my hair ( notice how wavy my hair is straight from the shower), I used the included clips to divide it into sections. I plugged in the RevAir and selected the temperature setting for wavy hair. I really love that this hair dryer has different temperature settings to suit all hair types. I also loved that I did not need to use a hairbrush. I was glad that the RevAir could be placed on my vanity or on the floor as it had a long tube that connected to the hair drying nozzle. I also loved that this hair dryer comes with a storage bag.

Less is more
It did take me a while to get used to using this unique hair dryer but right away, I noticed that I had no hot air blowing on me. That is a good thing in the summer as I usually avoid my hair dryer as who wants to use a hot air blowing machine when it is hot? The other thing that I noticed about the RevAir was the instructions said that my styling time would be reduced, even at the highest heat level. This hair dryer was easy to use once I got the hang of it. I just placed a small section of my hair on the end of the nozzle and it sucked my hair in like a vacuum cleaner, but it did not hurt. I did not feel any hot air and after I only had to leave my hair in the dryer for a short time. When I pull my hair out, I was amazed at how quickly it dried and how straight it was. It even appeared to be longer. The section of my hair that I notice to be longer from being straighten was my bangs and I had to trim them in order to see.

  • Straight to the Point - Most users achieve the results they want without needing flat irons. Those still needing flat irons, are likely to reduce their style time.
  • One for All - Customizable Reverse-Air and temperature settings to suit all hair types.
  • Less is More - Not only is styling time reduced, highest heat level is nearly half the wattage of a traditional blow dryer.
  • Bye Bye Brush - Reverse-Air creates tension while drying ending the need for brushwork. Air flows from root to end, eliminating awkward nozzle aiming.
  • Don’t Sweat It - Hot air blowing on you is a thing of the past.

My before and after
My before photo is how my hair looks the day after I wash it so it has less wavy to it and sleep has helped to flatten it a bit but it is still out of control.

I will be using the RevAir again as I liked the way my hair looked after it dried. My hair was so smooth and straight. It was also so soft with no frizz. This unique hair drying tool was easy to use and it dried my hair faster than my usual hair dryer. It did make my hair nice and smooth. My son noticed right away that my hair looked different and he said that my hair was pretty. It even made my hair so straight that my hair was much longer afterward. So on days that I want a straighter hairstyle or on the days that are way too dry or humid, I will be relying on this unique reverse hair dryer to give me a good hair day. This hair dryer may seem bulky but complicated to use but it is not. I just store the hair dryer in the included bag in my closet. When I want to use it, I just take it out of the bag and plug it in, no assembly needed. Then when I am done using the RevAir, I just put it back into the bag. This unique hair dryer would be great for those who have super curly, kinky hair and want to make it straighter without the use of harsh chemical relaxers.

You need to head on over HERE to discover more about this hair device that will give you a good hair day.

Do you struggle with way too many bad hair days?

I have naturally curly (which means frizzy) hair and have been getting keratin treatments every 12 weeks for the last 9 years. No more frizz.

I so need to try this. I have frizzy hair that never likes to listen to me. It gets even worse in the humidity.

Looks like it helped your hair to tone out some frizz but not all. I wonder if it would help tackle my extra frizzy hair!

Wow, what a cool product. My hair is pretty fine and doesnt get too frizzy but I still like the idea of a dryer that sucks instead of blows, it just seems efficient!

I don't have frizzy hair, but taking control over it after washing is quite difficult. I need to use this device one day! :)

Wow that's awesome. My hair is too short for this to work, but I'll recommend it to my mom. Thanks!

That's an awesome way to make it look like you have more length when you feel like doing so. I get frizzy hair if I am in a cold state in the winter and a heater is on. It's weird, I know, but that's the only time I get it. It's so annoying when I do!!

I really don't believe in these tools. They may be create a temporary effect of the un-frizzy hair, but during the day, the hair goes back to being frizzed up.

The curly hair can really cause discomfort at any time of the year. Monitoring them with a special hair dryer can bring us the good results. We should try.

Actually my friend let me borrow hers. She has it because she has long thick hair not reallly curly but tone consuming to dry with a regular blow dryer. Me I have long thin hair that I blow out with my dyson and round brush to get out my naturally curly hair.My hair is down my lower back but if I go outside and do yard work for an hour my hair shrinks to my shoulders. I used this to take out the moisturizer maybe 30 seconds started to get straight so I used round brush to style and give me voluminous hair
It lasted 7 days even after I went out side still stayed styled no frizz around my hair line like usual
After cutting grass in 90 degree heat.
