iLive Portable Cordless Massage Gun VS OPOVE M3 Pro Max Massage Gun

Which cordless massage gun is better ~ iLive Portable massage gun or OPOVE M3 Pro Max massage gun? Need help deciding which massage gun to purchase? Keep reading to discover which muscle gun is the best choice.

If you're an athlete, chances are high that you have experienced sore muscles. Chances are that those sore muscles were annoying or downright painful, especially after a day of squats that make using the bathroom awkward. So you reach for that tube of muscle cream which makes your skin cold or hot. Next time reach for a massage gun and get better pain relief for those achy muscles.

Massage guns are a must-have fitness product that you need to have if you are looking for an excellent way to relieve muscle pain and soreness from exercise. This muscle massager is for anyone who exercises. Whether you are new to fitness, work out at the gym, or are a serious athlete, the massage gun is an awesome recovery tool for your muscles. A muscle trigger gun is medicine-free pain relief that gets deep into the muscles to relieve tight, sore muscles. A muscle massage gun is a natural way to treat sore muscles from exercise.

The best way for immediate muscle pain relief

Muscle massage devices are a go-to recovery tool, that is easy to use and good to relieve muscle chronic pain and soreness. These devices for muscle massages use powerful pressure, like a massage, to help relax your muscles. They are a topical form of muscle pain relief that is quicker and more effective than pain medicines. Most times your muscle pain from exercise is a result of tight muscles and the muscle trigger gun will massage the muscle to help it relax. This will take away the muscle pain. Muscle massage guns are the perfect device for muscle soreness relief after a workout, improving range of motion as you age, or kicking back and relaxing after a stressful week.

iLive Portable VS OPOVE M3 Pro Max

I discovered massage guns three years ago at a fitness conference and I quickly discovered their amazing benefits to my sore muscles.  All that exercise from trying out the latest fitness machines and walking from the hotel to the expo hall left me with some sore calf muscles. Then throw in the walking up and down the stairs because who takes the elevator at a fitness conference? My calf muscles were screaming with pain and I started to regret the fun that I had on the newest elliptical machine. Just kidding about the regrets as I love a good workout and I still had many more fitness products to check out.

As I walked the floors of the expo hall, a man welcomed me to try a massage gun. At first, I was hesitant to stop at the booth that was showcasing this unique muscle massager device as I am one who does not like massages. The sales rep asked me if I had sore muscles and I remembered that the muscles in my calves were sore. So I decided to try a massage gun and I fell in love with how it helped with my muscle pain. What I did not love was the price of the massage gun.

I did not own a massage gun until 2019, the year I received an OPOVE M3 Pro Max in exchange for a review. You can see my full review of the OPOVE M3 Pro Max HERE. Now three years later, I decided to add another massage gun to my collection and I received the iLive Portable Cordless Massage Gun to review. Now that I have had a chance to try both massage guns, I decided to compare them, to help you decide which one to purchase.

Similar massage guns with noticeable differences

When I received the iLive Portable handheld massage gun, the first thing that I noticed, before I even open up the box was the difference in size. My teen, who is on the high school track team, right away got the impression that smaller meant not as powerful. So he continued to use the OPOVE M3 Pro Max massage gun on his calf muscles and let his mom be the first to try the iLive Portable massage gun.

iLive is a lighter massage gun

So I opened up the box that contained the iLive Portable and noticed that the massage gun was smaller when compared to the OPOVE M3 Pro Max. I picked up the iLive and right away, I loved how light it was. The iLive was one pound lighter than the OPOVE and I liked that.

iLive has 6 speeds ~ OPOVE has 4 speeds

Another difference between the two muscle guns is the number of speeds on each. iLive has 6 speeds ~ OPOVE has 4 speeds. The strength of the speeds is also different. The OPOVE starts out strong on #1 while the iLive's #1 is more gentle. #3 on iLive compares to OPOVE #1. I also felt that the OPOVE had a faster pulsation movement. I like the gentler speeds for my muscles while my teen prefers the stronger speeds. Both muscle guns took care of my muscle pain.

4 vs 5 attachments

The iLive and OPOVE both had similar attachments for the trigger guns. The only difference was the OPOVE had a 5th half ball attachment.

Big price difference

The price difference between the two massage guns was huge. The iLive massage gun was $69.99 while the OPOVE M3 Pro Max was $220

Which massage gun is better?

I feel that both massage guns have their benefits in relieving muscle pain in your body. I think it is a matter of preference when it comes to choosing which muscle massage gun to buy. I prefer the iLive Portable massage gun while my teen prefers the OPOVE M3 Pro Max massage gun.

The OPOVE M3Pro Max gave a more powerful massage, had one extra attachment, and came with a case to store everything. It was also 1 pound heavier. That one pound made it harder for me to use the device while this would not affect a stronger person. I also never used the OPOVE on speeds 2 - 4, as I felt they were too strong for me. My son, on the other hand, liked the stronger speeds on his muscles.

The iLive Portable Cordless had the 2 lighter speeds that I preferred for my muscles. It was also one pound lighter. This made it easier for me to hold and would be easier to travel with. I was fine without the 5th half ball attachment as all the other attachments soothed my sore muscles. For a savings of $150, I could also live without a storage case for the massage gun.

Muscle massage guns are useful devices for sore muscles and do a great job of relieving muscle pain. These devices can be used all over the body for different muscles. From a sore neck to a sore back all the way to your Achilles, they give your muscles a nice massage. I like to also use my muscle trigger device as part of my asthma treatment. When I have a lot of mucus in my lungs, the deep massage of the muscle gun on my chest helps me cough up the mucus. So the choice is yours on which massage gun to purchase.

My wife would really love this. She's always having frozen muscles and needs to have home gadgets like this when she's out of her therapy sessions.
