What Is Red Light Therapy and How Does it Work For Wrinkle Reduction?

Red light therapy is a treatment that exposes skin to low levels of red or near-infrared light. Red light has been shown to reduce inflammation in the skin,  produce collagen,  prevent wrinkles, and improve skin texture. The question is ~ Does Red Light Therapy really work?

I love looking younger than my age, thanks to the advancements in the beauty industry. I have tried many different facial products and have seen good results. From facial creams to Facial Laser devices, many of these items have improved the look of my skin and have helped with wrinkle reduction.

I love putting these facial products to the test on my skin to see if they make a difference in the appearance of my skin. I want to know if these products for the face really reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Some of the beauty products that I tested really work. When I find a beauty item that I love, I make sure to tell others about it.

Checking Out Red Light Therapy For The Face

The latest beauty product that I am trying is red light therapy. I received red light therapy facial products from SOLAWAVE. I received a Solawave 4-in-1 Radiant Renewal Wand along with a sample of Solawave Wand Skin Therapy Activating Serum

I already know the benefits of red light therapy for the body as I am a regular user of the Infrared sauna at the gym. Some of the benefits of infrared sauna that I like are exercise recovery and detoxification. I know that sweating in the infrared sauna has helped my body recover from mold sickness.

So I wanted to experience red light therapy on my facial skin. I wanted to see if it really does improve the skin texture and if would it reduce the fine lines around my eyes. Solawave mentions on its website that this facial device is Dermatologist-grade technology for better skin in 2 weeks

I like that I only have to use the Red Light Therapy Wand for 3 minutes per day.

What is Red Light Therapy?

Red light therapy is a treatment that exposes skin to low levels of red or near-infrared wavelengths of light. Red light stimulates the skin's fibroblasts to produce collagen and reduces inflammation. This skin treatment can reduce and prevent wrinkles as well as improve the skin's texture.

The wavelengths of red light penetration into the skin to induce changes in the skin through a process known as photo-biomodulation, which doesn’t require injury or trauma. The healing benefits of red light therapy were first discovered in the late 1980s by NASA scientists when they were using photosynthesis for potato growth. The NASA scientists noted that the scrapes on their hands were healing more quickly.

Red Light Therapy may help reduce the appearance of

+ Wrinkles

+ Dark Circles

+ Fine Lines

+ Blemishes

+ Dark Spots

When Will I See Results?

The included pamphlet said, "Most users of the Red Light Therapy Wand see results within 2-4 weeks."  I will make sure to take before and after photos, so I can compare the differences in my skin.

How Often Do I Use The Red Light Therapy Wand?

Solawave recommends using the wand for 3 minutes per each section of your face. These facial sections include the cheeks, under eyes, forehead, and neck.

My Initial Thoughts of the Solawave Radiant Renewal Wand

When I received the Solawave 4-in-1 Radiant Renewal Wand, I was happy that this facial device was small and lightweight. That would make it easy to take it with me when I travel. It even comes with a special travel case.

I also like that it is rechargeable through a charging cable that I can plug into a USB charger. I am not too thrilled that the charging cable is not a standard USB cord and has a specialized attachment. If I misplace the charging cord, I will not be able to recharge my wand and I will have to buy a new one.

The Red Light wand looks easy to use. I just have to apply the serum on my face and move the wand across each area on my face for 3 minutes. The wand's vibration will turn off after 3 minutes, so I won't have to watch the clock.

I can't wait to see the results

I will use the Solawave 4-in-1 Radiant Renewal Wand for 4 weeks and then I will update this article with my results. I will also include my before and after photos of my face. For now, you can get more information about the Solawave facial device Here.

I've always really wondered about red light therapy. I've often thought about giving it a try myself. Maybe now I will.

It sounds promising, especially with its collagen-boosting benefits and the convenience of just 3 minutes per day.

THis sounds like a very convenient little device. I could definitely handle the 3 minutes on different sections of my face while I watch TV at night. Keep us posted!

I've had red light therapy at a day spa but would like to have something to use at home. I'd consider buying the Solawave wand.
