My current beauty routine

My beauty routine starts early in the morning. I wake up around 6 AM and use my NIRA Facial Laser before I head outside to run. After my 5-mile run, I nourish my body with a plant-based protein shake that I added flaxseed to. I then apply serum and moisturizer to my face.

My initial thoughts about the CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Face Mask

When the face mask arrived, I made a commitment to use the skin care treatment for the recommended time of 3-5 days a week for a month. I put aside my NIRA facial laser device and I also took a couple of before photos of my face.

The first time that I used the face mask, I decided to try to work on my computer, looking at emails, to help pass the time. I did not use the eye inserts the first time that I turned on the lights on the mask and the bright lights annoyed me. So I quickly inserted the eyepieces and I then could not see the lights shining from the inside of the mask.

Solawave Red Light Therapy ~ A couple months ago, Solawave reached out to me and asked me to review their Solawave Radiant Renewal Wand. After reading up on the benefits of red light therapy for the skin, I had to try this facial device.

Comparing the NIRA Facial Laser Device to the Solawave Radiant Renewal Wand

In my honest opinion, I think both of the facial devices ~ NIRA and Solawave, will help reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Both devices stimulate the skin to produce more collagen. The most noticeable difference between the two products is the cost and the time needed to see results.

+ Cost of Solawave vs Cost of NIRA: The Solawave may be several hundred dollars cheaper than the NIRA but you get what you pay for. The Solawave stopped working after 2 weeks. I have been using the NIRA Pro for about a year and it is still working. My NIRA Precision is 5 years old and it is still working. So I can foresee having to replace the Solawave many times.

+ Amount of time needed to see results: The NIRA only requires 5 minutes a day while the Solawave requires 18 minutes. While the Solawave promised results in 4 weeks compared to the NIRA of 90 days, the maintenance time of both devices differs.

- After using 90 days, one only needs to use the NIRA a couple times a week for 5 minutes a day to keep your skin looking good.

- After the initial use of Solawave, to keep your skin looking good, you need to use the device every other day for 18 minutes each time.

+ Charging the NIRA and the Solawave: The NIRA charges with a standard USB charger cord while the Solawave needs a specialized cord to charge the device. I have already misplaced the Solawave charging cord many times.

+ Solawave requires their special serum: To use Solawave, you need to apply their special serum to your face. While NIRA recommends applying their serum to your face after your treatment, it is not required to use the device.

Which facial device is my favorite?

As we age, we start to notice fine lines and wrinkles on our skin, especially on the face. My Before Photos

What I like about the New NIRA PRO Laser

Bigger tip and treats more skin surfaces

I like that the new NIRA Pro facial laser product comes with a bigger tip and is easier to use when compared to the NIRA Precision laser device. Since this device is made to treat the full face, neck, chest, and back of hands, the bigger tip will help me target a bigger surface area in less time.

The NIRA Precision laser has 2 buttons while the NIRA Pro only has one button. So that means that I don't have to press a button to activate the laser. I just press the device on my skin and listen for 2 beeps. Then I move the device to another part of my face and repeat the 2-beep process. It is that simple.

Simple to use ~ even while traveling

The NIRA Pro is so simple to use and the beep noise is not loud. So I can use this wrinkle treatment while watching TV.
