I used to have a love/hate relationship with my Keurig machine. I love that it brews a cup of coffee quickly but I hate what it does to the environment. All those plastic k-cups sitting in the landfill just so I can enjoy a quick cup of coffee is just so wrong. Sure I could take those cups apart and maybe recycle them. I am really not sure and who has time for that! Yes, I did try those reusable k-cup things but I always get coffee grounds in my cup of coffee. So, for the most part, my Keurig has been collecting dust as I feel so guilty drinking a cup of coffee, especially when I toss that k-cup into the trash.

I no longer have to feel guilty about using my Keurig machine as I discovered a new guilt-free line of coffee pods for Keurig®* machines. Glorybrew is a unique coffee pod that is made for every day, every budget, and everybody. These Rainforest Alliance™ pods are 100% compostable and are made from bio-based materials that offer an environment-friendly alternative to your morning routine. So now I can enjoy a great cup of coffee and do good for the environment at the same time! Instead of tossing that plastic k-cup into the trash, I toss the Glorybrew pod into my compost pile. The whole pod breaks down in the soil! Did you know that coffee adds wonderful nutrients to the soil? So you enjoy a great cup of coffee and your plants get a treat too.
This coffee is also gourmet coffee! I tried the dark roast and it had a nice strong flavor. The smell of this full-bodied coffee was so good. Arabica beans sourced from premium selections in Indonesia give this blend a subtle spice, while Latin American Arabica beans round-out a smooth finish. As I was brewing my cup of coffee, my husband could smell it in the next room. So being the good wife, I made him a cup of coffee as it was so simple to do with just a touch of a button.
Glorybrew comes in three different varieties.
Medium Roast flavor – The Duke: “This medium-roast blend has a bright, pleasant aroma with medium acidity and mellow toasted notes. Arabica beans sourced from premium selections in Indonesia give this blend its earthy notes, while Latin American Arabica beans round-out a smooth finish.”
Dark Roast flavor – The Knight: “This dark-roast blend is a strong, full-bodied coffee, rich in roasted notes. Arabica beans sourced from premium selections in Indonesia give this blend a subtle spice, while Latin American Arabica beans round-out a smooth finish.”
Extra Dark Roast flavor – The Noble: “This extra dark-roast blend is an intense, full-bodied coffee balanced with low acidity and subtle hints of chocolate. Arabica beans sourced from premium selections in Indonesia give this blend an earthy cocoa note, while Latin American Arabica beans round-out a velvety finish.”
I am glad that I dusted off my Keurig machine and gave it another chance. Thanks to Glorybrew, I can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee anytime I desire. Check out my recipe for delicious healthy Gluten Free Chocolate Mocha Protein Brownies.
These 100% compostable pods work in K-Cup®* brewers and Keurig®* machines, even 2.0s!

I am a major coffee addict, so I will check this eco friendly coffee out for sure. It sounds great.
Yeah, I agree I had to get rid of my Keurig too for similar reasons. I want to leave the smallest footprint I can.
I love the ideas of these smaller coffee pots, but we drink way to much coffee in my house. Love that this is environmentally friendlier than most...
I am a hardcore coffee addict and the number of K-Cups I contribute to my local landfill on a daily basis is probably criminal. Thank you for sharing about a better alternative.
I do not use K-Cups nor do I have a Keurig - although I used to. My mother does however and I got her something similar to Glory Brew awhile back. I agree we do not need to add to the landfills with traditional K-Cups! I love the Glory Brew basket and it looks MUCH nicer and sturdier than the one I got for my mom! I will have to get her one of these!
Eco-friendly coffee pods sound amazing! Our daughter has our Keurig, and I'm sure she'd love to use these. She and her room mates are recycle friendly.
I really don't know much about coffee (not a drinker myself), but I know my mom would be all over this! She is a coffee lover.
I really hope more companies start doing this, as well. I know of one that I love that makes them environmentally friendly, but we need more. Thank you for letting me know about these! :)
I use the pods here and they are great. They are much better for the environment and much easier to store, which is great for me with the amount of kcups and pods I keep on hand.
These are so neat! I had no idea that there were eco friendly pods out there that could be used for this purpose. I am going to check them out.
I've never heard of this brand. I have to check it out.
I love that their pods will compost. I always feel a bit guilty using my keurig because of the pods.
Compostable pods are a great idea! We are adding so much more rubbish to landfill with all the little pods right now
I am very interested in giving this machine a try. I hate all the waste the other pods create. I will have to add this to my birthday wish list.
Glad to hear they make compostable pods - I'm a big fan of filter coffee but I don't like the plastic waste.
That is such a cool concept. We too have those plastic containers and I wish we would get a bio degradable variant like Glorybrew so that we could treat our plants, too :)
I love this idea! I always feel so terrible throwing the cups away every morning! Thank you for sharing!
I have never heard of the brand GloryBrew before, but I love their concept! I love my coffee so I'll have to check this out, thanks for sharing!
