The Blind Is The True Story Of The Robertson Family (Duck Dynasty) + Giveaway

The Blind is a powerful true story that showcases God’s redemptive power to change our lives when we surrender to Him!

Disclaimer: This film contains some intense thematic elements including smoking, drinking, abuse, and minor language that may be triggering. Please note that these elements are included to show the raw, true story of the Robertsons and what God did in their lives to bring them where they are now! ~  Many thanks to Tread Lively for providing a sample of the product for this review. My opinions are 100% my own.

Long before Phil Robertson was a reality TV star in the show Duck Dynasty, he lived a life that most people don't know about. Phil Robertson came from a broken poor family and life was tough. It was playing football in high school that made a difference in his life.

Phil meets a rich girl in high school who does not care that he is poor and they fall in love. Life is good for Phil and he gets married to the girl who loves him for who he is. Several years later and several kids later, things begin to spiral out of control. The Blind is the true story of the Robertson family with never before-revealed moments in Phil’s life as he seeks to conquer the shame of his past, ultimately finding redemption in an unlikely place.

Experience the incredible true story of Phil & Kay Robertson from Duck Dynasty in the new movie, The Blind, coming to theaters on September 28th! Get your tickets HERE!

Check out the official trailer for The Blind

So many people know Phil and Kay Robertson from the TV show Duck Dynasty. While the series portrayed the lives of the Robertson family, who became successful from their family-operated business, little is known about their life before the TV series.

If you enjoyed watching Duck Dynasty, you are going to love watching The Blind. This is a great film to go see with friends or as a date night with your husband. The Blind movie has some intense scenes that include drinking, abuse, and minor language, so it is not a movie to see with younger kids.

About The Blind

Long before Phil Robertson became a reality TV star, he fell in love with Miss Kay and started a family, but his demons threatened to tear their lives apart. Set in the backwoods swamps of 1960s Louisiana, THE BLIND shares never-before-revealed moments in Phil’s life as he seeks to conquer the shame of his past, ultimately finding redemption in an unlikely place. This stunning cinematic journey chronicles the love story that launched a dynasty, the turmoil that nearly brought it crashing down, and the hope that rose from the ashes to create a foundation for generations to come.

The Robertson men – brothers Phil and Si, and Phil's sons Jase, Willie, and Jep may be known for their long beards and their Christian views on the television show but before Duck Dynasty, Phil was not following Christ. He was an alcoholic who had an anger problem. It took a long time for Phil to realize that he needed to change and surrender to God.

What happens next is a powerful true story and you need to see The Blind. This incredible movie will be in theaters on September 28th! Get your tickets HERE!

I didn't watch the show at all, really, but even as a standalone film with no outside knowledge, it was very touching and enjoyable. I still cried 😭

I will also say that this is a very good film, my mother and I thoroughly enjoyed it, despite having more than base knowledge of the show and their lives. It's definitely still great to watch, even if you don't watch the show.
