Prince Of Egypt Musical With Amazon Giveaway

 I had an opportunity to watch The Prince of Egypt Musical digitally the other day. While I have heard of this musical, I have never seen the musical or any previews. I was excited to watch this film as I knew of the story of Egypt and Moses from the bible.

 This digital movie was filmed live at the West End's Dominion Theatre, London while The Prince of Egypt was being performed to a live audience. The musical show from what I remember was a huge musical that so many people wanted to see. It was one of the biggest musicals ever staged.

Prince of Egypt Synopsis: 

 Filmed live at the West End's Dominion Theatre, London, the show features a cast and orchestra of 60 performers. The Prince of Egypt: The Musical is based on the classic DreamWorks Animation film. This classic story has been brought to life by Stephen Schwartz’s “miraculous music” (Time Out), including Academy Award®-winning song ‘When You Believe’ and Sean Cheesman’s “astonishing choreography” (The Guardian). 

 This production tells an inspiring tale of resilience and hope. Journey through the wonders of Ancient Egypt as two young men, raised together as brothers in a kingdom of privilege, find themselves suddenly divided by a secret past. One must rule as Pharaoh, the other must rise up and free his true people; both face a destiny that will change history forever.

Grab your bible and read The Chapter of Exodus

 If you decide to watch The Prince of Egypt, you need to read or reread the Chapter of Exodus before watching this film. The chapters in Exodus that you need to read are chapters 1-12. That way you can refresh your memory of the birth of Moses to when he leads the Israelites out of Egyptian. That way you can be informed of the facts that are in the bible.

 Watching this movie will spark conversations with your friends and family.

My thoughts on watching The Prince of Egypt

 As a Christian, I had a hard time watching The Prince of Egypt. Many scenes in the movie told of things that were not in the bible. It had me thinking that there are always two sides to a story. So while watching the movie I did a lot of research between biblical sites and history sites. This movie had me remembering my school history lessons about the Egypt kings and the pyramids while also remembering the story of Moses in the bible.

The Journey special combines music and gorgeous scenery of landscapes and architecture of the Italian countryside. Along with Andrea Bocelli singing with the special guests, there are plenty of intimate conversations. The songs in this special presentation just came to life with the visuals of the landscapes. 

 I enjoyed watching this musical performance and seeing places in Italy that I may never have the opportunity to travel to. I love that this was an outdoor musical concert with such beautiful landscapes. I felt like I was in Italy. Andrea Bocelli has such a beautiful voice as well as the other performers that he sang with. My favorite song from the live performance was Amazing Grace and of course, I had to sing along.

 Through the struggle of losing her husband, a woman and her son become friends with a couple of homeless people. This helps them learn about the needs of the homeless. They also learn to see beyond their problems and realize that a simple act of kindness of giving a blanket to someone can go a lot further when given with kindness and compassion.

With the help of her son, the church, and the community, they start collecting blankets. They start a mission to keep the homeless warm. This is what led to the organization called Philip's Wish, an organization that was founded by a little boy who saw a need in the world and decided to do something about it.
