  1. My aunt died when her car rolled over and over down a steep embankment and the doors wouldn't open. No one saw her down there. This was in the early seventies. When they found her days later she had dies of internal injuries. Patty wright

  2. I've not been in an accident where I needed to use that but I just saw the movie Dejavu (again!) which reminded me how important it is. I think the seat belt cutter is important too. Now we even have to worry about our air bags killing us! ~Deb

  4. I've actually been involved in three fairly minor accidents. Luckily, no physical harm to anyone. I'd love to ahve these SafeTHammers for my two daughters.

    i was in a car accident once where i hit some mail boxes and a street sign and my doors and windows wouldn't open. that was scary.

  19. I've only been in one car accident, a driver drifted into my lane. No one was hurt thank goodness. Pretty scary though.

  20. I have been in a car accident when the driver did not look back and almost completely turned my car over. I could not get out quickly and had to wait hours till they could get me out.

  21. I have not personally been in an accident where I needed to get out quickly but in the 80's my husband's friends were in an accident and couldn't get their seat belts off and they burned to death in the car. I have always worried about that since.

  22. Yes, I have been in a car accident. I don't know someone who could not escape a car quickly. I currently have scissors in my glove compartment just in case I need to cut the seatbelt in an emergency.

  32. Hi Josh, Great you're thrilled with this 357. I've got one myself since like 10 decades. I enjoy it as well, not modded as yours though.
    Currently it doesn't operate, it chokes if warm. Brought into a neigbour of mine and he will get a deeper look at it.
    It seems like some have had difficulty with the automatic decompression valve, does yours have that?
