Pirate's Code: The Adventures of Mickey Matson DVD Review & Giveaway

School is out for the summer. My boys are happy to be out of school. Their days are filled with school work in the morning and going to the park for lunch. The park near us offers free summer lunch during the week. Lunch at the park offers my boys a great way to play with friends and burn up some of that endless energy they have. When we come home from the park, we are all hot and tired. I usually do my writing during this time as boys are a little bit worn out from the park. While I am writing I allow my boys to watch a movie. The movies they choose have to be family friendly.

My boys were excited when we received a DVD of Pirate's Code: The Adventures of Mickey Matson. They love anything pirate and they gathered up their pirate items and asked if they could watch the movie. I said yes. How could I say no to those smiling faces. I also told my boys that they were going to help me write this review. I love finding ways to sneak school work in. Their assignment will be 4 sentences about their opinion of the movie. Look for their sentences near the end of this post.

This movie is a follow up to Mickey Matson and the Copperhead Treasure. Mickey Matson is trying to defeat a gang of pirates who want to destroy civilization. The pirates have a new invention that is a weapon of mass destruction and it will destroy every electronic device in existence. Mickey and his best friend Sully embark on a mission to stop the pirates so civilization will not be sent back to the  Stone Age.

My boys are ready to watch the movie. Here is my boys review of the movie.
My 8 year old said this:
"This movie is really good. It's basically about some pirates who want to take over the world by destroying all electronics by using their invention the tesler which looks like a big ray gun."

My 7 year old said this:
"The movie was about pirates getting robbers out of jail by putting an anchor in the bars and using their boat to pull the anchor to break the bars. The pirates needed the robbers to help them destroy the world."
