Healthy Easter Basket Ideas

Check out some great items to put in the Easter baskets that are not loaded with sugar.

I just love celebrating Easter! It is a day that we rejoice about Jesus dying on the cross and coming back to life to save us from our sins. It is a holiday about new life. It is also a fun holiday that has Easter egg hunts and baskets filled with goodies. My kids love discovering their baskets on Easter morning. They love all the sugary treats that the Easter bunny leaves. Sometimes that bunny leaves too many treats that are filled with sugar so this year, I have some other healthy treats that will be in my boys Easter Basket. These treats are ones that my boys will be excited to receive.

The first treat in the basket will be their favorite drink. My boys love Cascade Sparkling Ice water. This zero calorie water comes in so many wonderful flavors and it is a treat that I say yes too. This naturally flavored water has none of those unhealthy items in it. I love that it has zero grams of sugar in it. Even the teen loves this water. His favorite flavor is coconut as he loves to combine the drink with a can of pineapple for an amazing Low Calorie Guilt-Free Pina Colada.

Check out all the many flavors Here: http://www.cascadeicewater.com

The next treat in the Easter basket is these amazing fruit trail mixes. These almost did not make it into their basket as the Easter bunny/mom wanted to enjoy these and not share. These Sunkist Snacks single serve packs contain delicious premium fruit and tree nuts (no low-cost fillers like raisins and peanuts) to give you and the kids a satisfying, perfectly portioned snack. Not just for the kids, each flavor has premium, exotic fruits to satisfy the curious palate. These are also small enough to fit in a plastic egg.

Flavors include Strawberry Banana Blend, Pineapple Coconut Blend, and Breakfast Espresso & Granola Blend. Sold at major grocers such as Walmart and Ralphs as well as online at

As I get more healthy items I will add them to this post so check back!

Great ideas. I hate to load my kids baskets up with a bunch of candy, so I get them each a chocolate bunny and the rest is toys and stuff.

I try to limit the amount of candy or other sugar laden treats that are in my kids' Easter Baskets. I prefer to keep it as healthy as possible and these are great ideas for alternatives.

This is a unique idea. Yes, it's time to start giving away healthy Easter baskets especially they are for kids who should learn a healthy living at a young age.

But many of these factors are absolutely in our control. Whenever we can, we should be responsible and make the right choices.anal bleach amaira
