Living Your Best Life While Leading Another Life

As parents, we all know that there is no way we can go back to the lives that we led pre-children. For most it is completely unattainable - others find a way to go back now and then, but it’s often with the help of childcare, an understanding partner or having to work extra hard in order to get there.

Exercising and Eating Well

Any routines and regimes that you had pre-children usually go out of the window and take a while to work back up to. Kids are unpredictable, and committing to certain classes and schemes can be a bad idea if you’re short on both money and time. However, this doesn’t mean that you can’t take on board certain ideas and plans in terms of dieting. Here are the best detox waters for weightloss  - these are infused water recipes which should be easy enough to incorporate into your everyday life when running around with children. Everybody needs to drink, and the more that you are drinking of these metabolism boosters, the more you should see your body return to where it needs to be - if that’s what you’re aiming for. Exercise after you have just had a baby should be kept to a minimum and only started again once you’ve got the all clear from your doctor or health visitor.

There are things that you can do whilst with a baby to aid you with your workout routine, or get you into one. Children love being outdoors at any age, and whether you’re running with a buggy or running after them in a park, it all helps towards getting your heart pumping and releasing those endorphins. You don’t need to ask anybody to help to look after them while you take time to go and do this, and you may find more parents who are willing to join you. You never know, there may even be a club operating near to you which is designed specifically for new moms to get out and about with their babies and shed pounds as they’re doing it - simply ask around on social media.

Socialising

This is the main thing that many new parents need to adjust to. You are responsible for another human’s life, and that means that for the first couple of years at least, you are at their beck and call. It sounds scary when it’s put that way, but it needn’t be. There are simply some compromises that will have to be made. Instead of going out for meals, you could invite friends and family round to yours. Host games nights, movie nights and other such occasions where you know that you will easily be able to check on your child if you haven’t got alternative care for them. This stage will be over before you know it and they’ll be going out and doing their own thing, so embrace it while it lasts - as arduous as may seem at the time, it could grow to be something that you love and will eventually miss.

My sister is going through this right now - and her daughter is entering the toddler years which make it THAT MUCH MORE difficult for her to have a LIFE. But I mean, when you agree to have kids and then start the process, you have to subconsciously know that you're going to be giving up a lot of your life for the new one !
