I Am Going To Idea World Fitness Blogfest

Sponsored post: I received samples of healthy products to facilitate this post.

This July, I am headed to Las Vegas for the Idea World Fitness Blogfest and I am so excited! This is a conference that is all about fitness and health products. That means three full days of working out and learning about new products. Call me crazy, but I am excited to be able to meet with other fitness bloggers and sweat it out. So in the meantime, I am stepping up my fitness goals so I will be ready for all this fun. I am trying to increase my speed with running and working on my upper body muscles.

My teen bought this pull-up bar a couple of weeks ago and placed it in the kitchen so he could increase the number of pull-ups he does. So I decided that I would put it to good use also. I have never been able to do a pull-up or a push-up. I have always had weak arms and I decided it was time for me to get rid of my "bingo" arms. Right now, all I can do with this silly contraption is hang on it, but I heard that is good for me. I have been hanging every morning while my smoothie mixes up. My goal is to be able to increase my hanging time to strengthen my arms. I am up to 30 seconds and when I get to 70 seconds, the time it takes for my smoothie to blend, then I will start to try doing pull-ups. Maybe by July I will succeed and be able to do one pull-up. I don't know what my teen's goal is but he is able to do 15 pull-ups.

Along with all this running and arm strengthening, comes pain and the need for more energy. I decided to take the Vitasome Challenge to see how it could help me. This challenge is supposed to increase energy and flexibility along with assisting pain relief and helping with mental focus/clarity. Since the active ingredient in this delicious orange pineapple drink is turmeric and citrus bioflavonoids, I knew I had to give it a try. Turmeric is known for its powerful anti-inflammatory properties and I have seen great results with it for my sore muscles so I wanted to see what the Vitasome formula could do for me. The challenge has me drinking 2 sachets per day for 7 days so I can saturate my system with the powerful Curcumin-C “actives” that are in the drink. That is easy enough for me to do. I have been drinking one drink in the morning and the other after I run. The cool thing about this product is how it is made. The powder drink has a newly patented* liposomal delivery system now ensures superior absorption and greater retention than traditional supplements. I like the sound of my body being able to absorb the turmeric better. That means I will get better relief for my sore muscles. I have been drinking the yummy for a couple days now and I been noticing that my hamstring has not been hurting when I run so I have been able to run faster and longer. That is a good thing for me as I pulled this muscle a year ago and even after it healed it tends to flare up when I run no matter how much stretching I do. So it is great that Vitasome can help with the pain of my hamstring.

The weather is warmer here so I have been running in the morning. I am not a morning person and I need extra energy to run along with some nutrition. Since I have to get out running before my husband leaves for work, I need a quick breakfast so I can run more efficiently. I also am trying to increase my speed. So I have been drinking these delicious healthy coffee drinks before I go out running. I love that High Brew Cold Brew’s Creamy Cappuccino flavor has 12 grams of protein and 3 grams of fiber! They also have 2X the caffeine of regular coffee in them. These drinks taste so delicious cold and since they are cold brewed they are not bitter. I normally do not like to drink that much caffeine but I have found that it really helps me run faster. This drink makes it easy for me to get my daily essentials and the extra energy that I need to get my but out running in the morning.
High Brew Cold Brew also comes in some amazingly delicious flavors like Mexican Vanilla, Creamy Cappuccino, Salted Caramel, and Dark Chocolate Mocha.

I have still not entered a 5K race yet. The problem is the races are always in the morning, again I am not a morning person. The races were exciting when my teen ran them with me but he has been too busy with track and field. Maybe I can encourage my teen to run a July 4th race with me. That will give me more time to work on my speed.

I leave for Idea World Fitness Blogfest in the middle of July and not only am I excited for the conference, but I will also be able to see my daughter to as she lives in Vegas. The rest of the family is staying at home. The younger boys will be doing a YMCA day camp as my husband was not able to get the time off from work. So while I anxiously wait for my mini work/vacation, I will continue to work on strengthing my arms and increasing my speed.

I have already started my packing for my conference. Check out this cool travel toothbrush that is so awesome. I just love how the Mouth Watchers Manual Toothbrush folds up into a small travel size toothbrush. The case keeps my toothbrush not only clean in my suitcase but also when I use it in the hotel. I can now safely keep my toothbrush by the sink and not have to worry about germs getting on it. I admit that I am a germ freak. I purposely do not have the maid clean my room during my hotel stay as I don't want someone touching my things. The Mouthwatchers is a revolutionary Antimicrobial Toothbrush that has silver technology in the bristles to eliminate 99.9% of bacteria build-up in the mouth for up to 6 hours after brushing. I just love the dual action Flossing Bristles™ that are ultra-thin at the tip to properly reach and brush away food and plaque. This cool foldable toothbrush will be my traveling toothbrush. I already put it in my suitcase so I don't forget it. Yes, I admit I never put my suitcase away from my last trip in March. Oh well, it makes it easier to pack and my trip is only 2 months away.

Very cool that you're going to the fitness blogfest! I bet it is going to be really fun. My fitness goals for this summer is to start walking and watch my diet because I am due to have my baby in 10 weeks. I know the walking will be really good for me, especially when it is time to go into labor!
